Metaverse and virtual worlds

I used to be about 20 years ahead of my time, now I think it’s a little less – but still enough.

Two virtual galleries

Here are two virtual galleries I built for a client.
One interactive and the other in demo mode.

Nothing new

It doesn’t make much difference whether it’s virtual galleries, a simulation of aircraft movements or ships. Basically, everything is the same.

No show

What is often forgotten in all the technology hype of the many smart talking ‘wannabe Steve Jobs’ (without Wozniak) is that much of the technology we use today is anything but new. The basis of many cloud processes are still the Unix tools seen 40 years ago. I would like to know in how many oh-so-modern services an Rsync still does its job.

News from the past

Even things that seem really new now have been around for a while. AI and neural networks? That was around 1995.
It already proved its worth back then in the plausibility check of flight tracks during accuracy measurements on active large-area radar equipment. Of course, it was a different order of magnitude, all the departmental computers were busy for nights learning possible flight behaviour from secondary radar recordings, something that today would be done in minutes or a few hours –  but it was feasible back then.

Help with innovation

What’s sometimes missing are real innovations – based on experience paired with lateral and divergent thinking.

Don’t be afraid to contact me if you are interested in doable and holistic innovative solutions, need a virtual gallery or want to exhibit. I probably can help if your project is interesting.
